JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind is the fifth part of the series. It takes place after the events of Diamond is Unbreakable, and it follows the story of Giorno Giovanna. Giorno Giovanna had a big dream of becoming a «Gang-Star,» however, it wasn't going to be easy to accomplish such a ginormous task.
Luckily for Giorno, he had comrades who he could trust, and they helped him to realize his dream. This wrapped up Giorno's story, and he never appeared in any of the other parts. This was a surprise considering that even some minor characters make an appearance in the other parts. So, why was Giorno never involved in any of the other parts, and what happened to him?

For the majority of Golden Wind, Giorno was looking for a way to beat Diavolo and reach the top of Passione. It took a lot of effort, but eventually, he managed to his hands on the Stand arrow, which was crucial to his success. It allowed Giorno to take his Stand to the next level.
With Gold Experience evolving into Gold Experience Requiem, Giorno was easily able to beat Diavolo, and claimed the position of the boss of Passione. With the position firmly in his grasp, Giorno had to make a lot of changes to the organization. Unlike Diavolo, Giorno wanted to use Passione to help other people, and deep down Giorno knew that it was not going to be easy. So, after the conclusion of Golden Wind, Giorno started to work to change Passione from within.
Giorno is almost never mentioned at any point in Stone Ocean, so it is difficult to know what exactly he was doing, but as we know Stand users are attracted by other Stand users. Araki
