Jodie Comer will star in a new apocalyptic thriller titled The End We Start From, which is being executive produced by Benedict Cumberbatch. Comer is known for the role of Villanelle inKilling Eve, and recently received a BAFTA award for her performance in the British drama Help. Cumberbatch can currently be seen as Doctor Stephen Strange in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Deadline reveals that TheEnd We Start From follows Comer as a mother with a newborn who must survive an apocalypse brought about by environmental disaster. The film is being adapted by screenwriter Alice Birch from Megan Hunter's novel of the same name. Bitch has previously written episodes of Succession and also penned the 2016 film Lady Macbeth. Mahalia Belo (The Long Song) is directing the film, and Cumberbatch is executive producing alongside Comer, Sébastien Raybaud, Cecile Gaget, and Eva Yates.

The film certainly touches on timely matters such as the ongoing climate change crisis.
