A humorous Saturday Night Live backstage video sees Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star Benedict Cumberbatch dancing before his hosting introduction. The Doctor Strange sequel hit theaters this weekend, which brought audiences out in droves to see the latest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film sees Cumberbatch's Strange protecting Xochitl Gomez's America Chavez from an unknown evil set on obtaining her power.
To promote Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Cumberbatch took up hosting duties for the newest episode of Saturday Night Live. SNL has been running since 1975, bringing in guest hosts each week who perform comedy sketches with the show's roster of talented performers. This week's episode marked Cumberbatch's second appearance as host after previously taking on the duties to promote the first Doctor Strange during its opening weekend in 2016.

A funny backstage SNL video, shared on Twitter by Cumberbatch Videos, sees the actor dancing before his introduction. As the band plays the show's theme song along with the opening credits that announce each cast member, the video sees Cumberbatch dancing to the music as he readies himself at the stage door. The actor seems like he's just getting in the groove of things or even shaking out nerves, which he does right up until his name is called, prompting him to compose himself before taking the stage.
