Before Sonic the Hedgehog 2 streams on Paramount+ on May 24 and arrives on 4K and Blu-ray August 9, Screen Rant participated in an incredible ADR event and interviewed director Jeff Fowler and actor Colleen O'Shaughnessey, who voices Miles «Tails» Prower, about their hit sequel.
In Sonic 2, the heroic blue hedgehog (voiced by Ben Schwartz) teams up with Tails to take on the returning Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey), who has a new ally, Knuckles the Echidna (voiced by Idris Elba). With the help of Sonic's human family, Tom (James Marsden) and Maddie Wachowski (Tika Sumpter), Sonic and Tails team up to save the world from the nefarious duo.

What is it about Sonic that makes it so successful where other video game movies have failed?
Jeff Fowler: He's just such a likable little guy. He's so optimistic and fun and energetic, but he's also very loyal to his friends. He believes in family. He's got a huge heart.
