The Suicide Squad director James Gunn teases future DCEU plans through a cryptic image of Peter Capaldi's The Thinker from his 2021 film. While having been involved with the MCU through the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, Gunn came over to Warner Bros. when he was tapped to helm the sequel to David Ayer's Suicide Squad. After its positive critical reception in season 1, Peacemaker season 2 is officially on its way, likely to arrive in 2023. And yet, even as Gunn is working on Peacemaker season 2, which will reportedly shoot later this year, the filmmaker has continually teased that he has more DCEU plans in store.
