The DC Extended Universe slate just got even more exciting thanks to Marvel Studios' Ms. Marvel Disney+ show. Although the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DCEU are often viewed as rivals in the superhero world, there are some instances where they manage to help and challenge the other. Even the unofficial barrier of actors and creators being heavily involved in both franchises has faded over time, as James Gunn is simultaneously creating movies and TV shows for both universes.
Since superhero content continues to be a major factor in Hollywood, the creative crossovers are likely only going to increase. Gunn's work on the Guardians of the Galaxy movies brought more excitement for him tackling The Suicide Squad and several spinoffs. With this move only happening after Disney temporarily fired the director, it marked one example of the MCU helping the DCEU. The debut of Ms. Marvel on Disney+ has now made DC's future more exciting thanks to the directors already helming an upcoming DCEU movie.
