Director James Gunn has announced that he is working on multiple new DC projects, which will include characters from the Peacemaker series. However, his busy schedule seems to be impacting the chances of seeing a proper sequel to The Suicide Squad.
The critical success of The Suicide Squad, followed by acclaim for Peacemaker, prompted Warner Bros. to enlist Gunn for several more DC projects, all of which remain unknown at this time. Of course, some fans wonder if a proper sequel to The Suicide Squad will ever come to fruition, and Gunn offered a response to those questions.
James Gunn Appears To Tease Future Project With Peter Capaldi
Gunn teased some of his upcoming projects during an interview with The Playlist. «I am working very seriously on another DC project, where I’m very involved in the writing and the direction of it,» he said. «There will be some blending of the characters from ‘Peacemaker’ in the other shows I’m working on. And I’m involved with a couple of other [DC] things too.» One project that Gunn has confirmed is Peacemaker season 2. Gunn stated that he plans to incorporate more DC characters into the show, yet is unsure if any other Justice League members will appear in the upcoming season.
