Since releasing in early access, Endnight Games' Sons of the Forest quickly became popular, with fans loving the AI companion Kelvin so much that one person felt it was necessary to spawn more than a few helpful NPCs. It's been one of the most anticipated horror games of 2023 so far, which is impressive seeing as there are quite a lot of AAA releases vying for attention. It's nice to see an indie title making an impact, even if a lot of that reason is because of the AI.
As beloved as he is, Sons of Forest's Kelvin can also be a bit of a hazard. With the game still in development, the studio is continuing to work on the finished product, which means there are bound to be some hiccups here and there. Although the mute and brain-damaged character has been seen knocking down player bases without considering the consequences, his blunders are part of what makes him so loveable. The user was also curious about how many Kelvins it takes to build a treehouse, so another clip shows a bunch of them being put to work. For those who want to be able to clone the companion, a report from PC Gamer points to modder CallMeSlinky, who has made such a thing possible by enabling debug mode in the console.
