The first Apple event of the year 2022 is just a day away and the hype around the launch of the ‘affordable’ iPhone SE 3 has acquired gigantic proportions on the internet now. The latest iPhone is likely to debut on March 8. Apple has confirmed that the event will begin at 11:30 PM IST on Tuesday. Though the exact product details have been kept under wraps, some of the leaks revealed the expected features of the new iPhone. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that the new iPhone SE 3 (third generation) or iPhone SE 2022 will get a similar design to the current iPhone SE 2022 or iPhone SE 2 model. Moreover, he also hinted at the likely iPhone SE 3 colour variants, saying it would be available in White, Black, and Red. The SE in iPhone SE stands for 'special edition'.
The Cupertino-based tech giant is also expected to launch the new iPad Air 2022 and MacBook Air 2022 at the launch event. Kuo also noted that the new iPhone SE 3 will bring support for mmW and Sub-6 GHz 5G bands. It will be powered by an Apple Bionic A15 chipset, the same chipset that has been used in Apple’s latest iPhone 13 models. The leaks also suggest that the phone will have three storage options – 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB while the display is speculated to be compact 4.7-inch with a single rear camera. Other features could include a lightning port for charging, a single selfie camera inside a hole-punch cutout, no face ID, a home button, and more wireless charging support.
Recently, a report claimed that the iPhone SE 3 could be priced at around $300. Some others have said that the older iPhone SE 2020 price should then be slashed to around $200. However, in the Indian market, the phone is likely to get a bit more expensive as compared to other countries
