While the company is adding new features like Apple Intelligence to the mix, the external design plays an important role in users upgrading to the latest models. The company has big plans for the future of the iPhone as we have heard various rumors suggesting that the company will offer a new model next year, possibly called the iPhone 'Air,' and the device will feature 8GB of RAM and a single 48MP camera lens.
There have been conflicting reports regarding the design and the feature set of the iPhone 17 'Air,' but we do know that the company is planning a new variant that could be priced higher than the current models. Ming-Chi Kuo has previously stated that the device will come with an A19 chip, and the front of the display will feature Dynamic Island with a single-lens camera on the back. Furthermore, it will be one of the first Apple devices to feature its custom 5G modems.
In his recent research notes (via MacRumors), analyst Jeff Pu from Haitong International states that the iPhone 17 'Air' will come with a 6.6-inch display, slightly smaller than the iPhone 16 Plus but bigger than the iPhone 16 Pro. The analyst also claims that the chip powering the device will be A19 instead of the A19 Pro, based on TSMC's 3nm architecture. We suspect that it will house the same chip as the standard iPhone 17 lineup.
