iPhone 14 is just weeks away from launch and leaks about it have flooded the market. From its design, camera to hardware, all the reports suggest that Apple will majorly overhaul the iPhone 14 series. So, in the midst of all the conflicting rumours out there, here's what we actually know about the upcoming iPhone 14 series so far.
iPhone 14 is expected to launch at an Apple Event on September 7 this year, according to The Verge in a report shared by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. It is expected to be an online event like last year. Apple is expected to launch 4 new iPhone models this year – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max/Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, in addition to the new Apple Watch.
The Pro models of the iPhone 14 are expected to have a new notch design. According to Jon Pressor of FrontPagetech, the new notch is expected to be in the form of a new hole and pill-shaped cutout, housing the front camera as well as the FaceID sensors. The non-Pro models are expected to have a similar but smaller notch than the iPhone 13 series
The Pro models of the iPhone 14 series are expected to have the brand new A16 Bionic chipset. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that only the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will get the A16 Bionic, claiming the iPhone 14 will stick with the A15 chip. Although, the A15 chip in the iPhone 14 is expected to be an improved version.
One of the most exciting new features is the always-on display that is expected to feature in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
In terms of battery, iPhone 14 Pro is expected to get a 3200mAh battery, iPhone 14 3279mAh, iPhone 14 Pro Max 4323mAh, and iPhone 14 Max is expected to get the biggest battery of 4325mAh, according to a leak from a tipster named VNchocoTaco.
