Intel Arc GPU May Be Out as Late as Summer 2022, Could be Featured at PAX East

Many people had been anticipating these early parts of 2022 when it came to graphics cards. With AMD launching its $200 entry-level GPU, and Nvidia doing the same recently, people are turning towards Intel to see when it will be offering up its own range of discrete cards. However, things seem to be a little on the quiet side lately, and while there was a chance of the Arc coming out early this year, it looks as though it may have been pushed back to almost the summer.

According to the latest analysis from YouTube channel Moore's Law Is Dead, there is a good chance that Intel won't be able to release its range of GPUs until sometime in April at the earliest, with one source saying that some of the high-end products could be out as late as June 2022. While there doesn't appear to be any official statement about any delays, or even why it may have been pushed back, it's been speculated that it could be related to the drivers, and that the company will only want to release its graphics cards when the software side of it is in a satisfactory state.

There's also been talk about Intel coming to a «gaming convention» just before launch. Given the timeframe, it's possible that this could be referring to PAX East which starts April 21, and lines up with what sources are saying about when the Arc could be coming out at the earliest. Again, these are not confirmed details but are statements given by insiders, many of whom the Moore's Law Is Dead host says are very reliable. In any case, many readers may still wish to take the information as speculation at this stage, but remain hopeful that what's been said is accurate.

Intel was originally supposed to be launching the first
