The time is fast approaching for Intel to finally release its range of dedicated graphics cards, potentially giving veterans Nvidia and AMD a run for their money. While the Arc Alchemist GPU may miss its Q1 launch window, there's still the possibility that laptop equivalents will be hitting the market soon, with desktop products following in Q2. With the dates getting closer, more and more people are interested in knowing where it will stand with some of the current cards that are, theoretically, available. There have been some benchmark tests in the past, and this latest one gives a few more details.
In a recent report from Games Radar, which condenses the results of a test from SiSoftware, the desktop versions of the upcoming Intel GPUs have been put «through their paces,» with the results showing the potential for the three SKUs that are due out within the next few months. The benchmark test shows that the three variants, the A300, A500, and A700, will come with different specs, which range from low-end to more high-end products. While it's important to say that these results should be taken with a grain of salt, they do seem to line-up with what people have been speculating.
Intel Arc Test Suggests It May Struggle To Beat Nvidia RTX 3070
For example, the A700 may feature 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM with a 256-bit memory bus and 512 execution units. The report goes on to say that this means that rumors about the Intel Arc beating out the likes of Nvidia's RTX 3070 could come to fruition, if the results are accurate. While another recent benchmark test shows that it may fall just shy of team green's top end card, it does match up with what some others have said. In any case, what SiSoftware has come up with perpetuates the
