The multiplayer horror game Identity V launches its second crossover event with the manga and anime series Bungo Stray Dogs. The asymmetrical multiplayer horror game’s latest event runs until March 1st and features exclusive accessories and costumes.
Net Ease’s Identity V uses a similar 4 vs. 1 format to Dead by Daylight and shares that game’s appreciation for crossovers. Identity V’s previous guest stars include characters from games like Persona and Danganropa. It’s also crossed over with anime and manga, including The Promised Neverland, Death Note, Tomie, and American films like Edward Scissorhands. Identity V’s previous Bungo Stray Dogs crossover ran from September to October 2022. It saw the manga’s Armed Detective Agency summoned to investigate the mysterious happening at Oletus Manor.
This time, however, it is the Port Mafia’s turn to intrude on the mysterious mansion. A powerful syndicate from Bungo Stray Dogs’ fictional city of Yokohama, it has a tight hold on the city’s black market. Identity V players can try to survive the night as Akutagawa Ryunosuke, Chuya Nakahara, Motojirou Kajii, Hirotsu Ryuro, and Ichiyo Higuchi.
In Bungo Stray Dogs, Akutagawa Ryunosuke is a Port Mafia member who can transform his overcoat into a fanged monster. He appears in Identity V as a costume for the Seer. Port Mafia Executive Chuya Nakahara arrives as a Costume for the magnet-wielding Prospector. Meanwhile, Explosives expert Motojiro Kajii is, appropriately enough, a Costume for Identity V’s bomb-throwing acrobat. Additionally, players can dress the Magician as martial arts master Hirotsu Ryuro. Finally, Ichiyo Higuchi leads the Port Mafia’s commando unit.
