The next Nintendo Direct live stream will take place today and you‘ll be able to watch events unfold live here.
Nintendo recently confirmed that Thursday’s showcase will begin at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm GMT / 4pm CEST and last for approximately 40 minutes.
“Mostly focused on Nintendo Switch games releasing this winter”, the Direct presentation will be viewable on YouTube, and we’ve embedded the stream at the top of this page.
The last main Nintendo Direct presentation took place in June and was used to announce the likes of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario RPG, Detective Pikachu Returns and WarioWare: Move It.
All of those games could be set to appear again given that they’re set for release later this year. The sixth and final wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass might also make an appearance.
Third-party games headed to Switch this year that might be shown include Hogwarts Legacy, Batman: Arkham Trilogy, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 and Sonic Superstars.
The event could also include news on the return of a classic Nintendo series, according to a leaker with a strong recent track record.
According to VGC sources, Nintendo has dispatched Switch 2 development kits to key partners, with a launch planned for the second half of 2024.
The platform holder also showed off tech demos for its Nintendo Switch successor behind closed doors at Gamescom, it’s understood. Officially, Nintendo is yet to comment on plans for its next console.
