Slots could be changed with in-game resources, but it was another tedious step to using the desired skills. Luckily, one of 's biggest differences has simplified that and reduced the limitations.
In, Skill Gems have been simplified to a separate tab where you can equip up to nine different skills. From here, these Gems can be modified and slotted into the Hotbar. Skills can also be inspected by holding ALT, which will allow you to read every effect. This is also where some passive Skill Gems can go, which do not need to be slotted into the Hotbar.
This page will also feature your weapon skills, as some skills are limited to certain types of weapons. For example, wands will have a set base of skills that can only be found on them, and equipping the wand will give you access to those skill. This can make it tricky to level up a spell, but also rewards you if you can find a powerful weapon.
