Players can find special Birthday Medallions on the Fortnite island as part of Battle Royale's 7th Anniversary celebrations. These special medallions are just part of a limited-time anniversary celebration for, with cake, balloons, fireworks, and flare guns all making special appearances. Birthday Medallions are relatively rare, however, as they're tied to the Legendary-quality Birthday Present item.
Unlike the Boss Medallions in , players shouldn't expect to gain powerful passive buffs from Birthday Medallions. Instead, their passive effect is rather comical, spawning balloons that gradually lift the holder higher and higher into the air. While novel and fun, skilled players might also be able to use their Balloons to their advantage.
Birthday Medallions are only found inside Birthday Presents, which are Legendary-quality throwable items. When picking up a Birthday Present, players can toss it like a grenade to spawn a large birthday present structure, complete with a neat ribbon on top. Players can access some items inside by breaking down the sides of the present with a Pickaxe.
You will have to wish the bus driver a happy birthday in Fortnite if you want to complete the seventh-anniversary quest and claim exclusive rewards.
