Apple unveiled the iOS 16 at the Apple WWDC 2022 Event in June. The newest OS from Apple brings a host of new improvements and features such as LiveText, customizable lockscreens, improved dictation and more. Apple also introduced a new Search Bar option which appears at the bottom of your iPhone screen.
Although iOS 16 has not been released to the public yet, Apple has started testing it using the Public Beta mode. Users can enroll in Apple's Beta program and try out the iOS 16. However, since the OS is still in the testing phase, there are bugs that can even break your iPhone.
The new Search Bar option allows users to to search their iPhone directly from the Home Screen. However, if you wish to get rid of the option, here's how you can do it, according to MacRumours.
To disable the search bar option, open the Settings app on your iPhone running iOS 16.
Scroll down to find Home Screen and tap on the “Home Screen” option from the list.
On the Home Screen settings page, under the “Search” section, tap on OFF for the “Show on Home Screen” option.
The search bar icon should be removed from the bottom of your Home Screen.
