How many episodes are in The Boys season 3 and when is the finale? Since the season 2 finale aired in October 2020, fans have been patiently waiting for The Boys season 3 to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. After a year and a half, some of which was due to filming delays due to the ongoing pandemic, the highly-anticipated season 3 is finally here.
The Boys season 2 saw the end of Stormfront’s time as a member of The Seven. Following the reveal of her Nazi plan to the public and an explosive run-in with Ryan, Homelander’s son, Stormfront’s story ended in grisly fashion. Elsewhere, Queen Maeve stepped up, taking out Black Noir and blackmailing Homelander. The Boys season 3 will pick up a year after the events of season 2, including the titular characters going their separate ways — Hughie to work with Victoria Neuman and Billy Butcher joining Grace Mallory’s taskforce. With the introduction of Soldier Boy, a revered, yet aggressive Supe who worked for Vought, and other super-powered beings joining the series, season 3 will see The Boys contending with a lot in addition to The Seven.

As with previous seasons, The Boys season 3 will consist of eight episodes in total, each clocking in at around 50 minutes to an hour. The first three episodes of season 3 will release simultaneously on Prime Video on Friday, June 3. After, The Boys will revert to a weekly episodic release schedule for the remaining five episodes. This is the same format The Boys season 2 followed. The first three episodes get fans excited, but releasing the remaining episodes on a weekly basis means the conversations about the series last longer than if the entire season was released at once.
