With the Hogwarts Legacy-centric State of Play right around the corner, developer Avalanche Software has unleashed a teaser showcasing the inside of House Gryffindor. WB Games and Sony announced Hogwarts Legacy's State of Play stream yesterday, promising a March 17 event packed with an extended first look at the eagerly-anticipated RPG. The PlayStation-branded angle of the digital showcase surprised many onlookers, but it's worth remembering this particular experience was originally announced during Sony's September 2020 PlayStation 5 event.
In terms of the story and characters, this new adventure in the Wizarding World won't look anything like previous interactive experiences in the Harry Potter universe. As opposed to a movie tie-in or Quidditch-focused title, Hogwarts Legacy will boast a fresh story starring a player-created Witch or Wizard. The development crew at Avalanche Software took a few liberties with the setting, too, since users can expect to explore the famous School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the late 19th Century.

An all-new teaser for Hogwarts Legacy has gone live online courtesy of a Twitter post from the official WB Games Avalanche account. The tweet in question features an incredibly brief gameplay clip, which shows a character waking up in the House Gryffindor sleeping quarters. Of course, the quick look doesn't offer much in the way of concrete details, but it does suggest that all four of the school houses will be explorable to some extent.
