Once Human, the strange post-apocalyptic game developed by Starry Studio is finally launching today after numerous tests earlier this year. In addition to launch, the development team has outlined some of their upcoming plans in a blog post, which includes a significant new feature: the introduction of seasons.
If you’ve been waiting for Once Human, your wait is finally over. At 2PM PDT players will be able to finally get to jump into the game without the fear of having their character wiped. Gamers that have tried the game before will also find some changes to the latest build, such as the inclusion of Seasons. This update brings a fresh approach to gameplay, where each season presents unique adventures, themes, meant to keep the gaming experience fresh.
At the end of each season, players' items and achievements will transfer to a special personal world called Eternaland. This realm is designed to foster creativity, allowing players to build and customize their unique spaces away from the open world, where monsters can wreak havoc on what you’ve created. You’ll also be able to choose whether you want to replay familiar the season or embark on entirely new adventures.
The team has also provided a lengthy launch day Q&A on the game’s Steam page. Some questions that the team at Starry Studios answered are over topics such as the differences between the Manibus (PvE) and Evolution’s Call (PvP) scenario, what happens during the end of the Season, the minimum system requirements, and what happens if the game crashes. For more detailed information, head over to the full Q&A to browse the multitude of answers provided.
Finally, the developers will have a launch day livestream for those wanting to follow the developers on the launch journey.
