Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry Ride Sets Opening Date
Universal Orlando has set the official ride opening date, unveiling an all-new ride that allows fans to step into the Ministry of Magic for the first time.
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry will open on May 22, 2025, at Universal’s Epic Universe, its all-new area that’s comprised of a variety of different worlds and franchises. The ride will allow visitors to step into the Ministry of Magic and journey through the grand Ministry atrium, Dolores Umbridge’s office, and other departments before boarding a lift to witness the trial of Dolores Umbridge.
The attraction itself will see fans chasing after Umbridge as she tries to escape, all while being chased by Death Eaters and other creatures. First, visitors will travel to the Ministry via the Metro-Floo and arrive inside the atrium, which features giant statues, an enchanted weather ceiling, and more. After journeying through the Ministry’s reception area, they’ll arrive in Dolores’ office before getting on the Magical Ministry Lift to begin the ride.
During the ride, guests will soar through “the Magical Archives – a cavernous library filled with towering cabinets that hold centuries of Ministry archives and wizarding documents; the Department of Magical Creatures – where creatures have escaped and are running amuck; and the Time Room – which is overflowing with a variety of Time-Turners and unique timekeeping devices,” according to a description from Universal.
