A hand-crafted, Minoyaki-style Pokémon teapot will let Trainers enjoy a relaxing beverage straight from Psyduck’s bill. Fans of Nintendo’s long-running, monster-wrangling RPG franchise were first introduced to Psyduck in the original Pokémon Red and Blue for the old Nintendo Game Boy, and the headache-suffering duck quickly made itself a popular staple among the iconic Gen 1 Pokémon line-up. Psyduck has since made appearances in virtually every other Pokémon game to date, as well as serving as a loyal member of Misty’s dependable team of Water-element Pokémon in the long-running Pokémon anime and landing a cameo in the 2019 live-action film Detective Pikachu.
Psyduck has become so popular over the years that the lovable duckling almost gained the spotlight role of being one of the two cover Pokémon for the Switch’s Pokémon: Let's Go games, 3D remakes of 1998’s Pokémon Yellow with added gameplay elements from the massively successful Pokémon Go. However, Nintendo realized that Psyduck’s yellow color scheme was too similar to Pikachu’s, so Let's Go, Psyduck! was ultimately replaced with the equally-popular Eevee. While Psyduck might not have gotten the chance to headline its own Pokémon spin-off, its cute and comical likeness has still been featured in a wide range of Pokémon cards, toys, and even every day household items throughout the Pokémon franchise’s 26 years of existence.
