It had previously been reported that, after Curtis' speech at the Oscars, Mac N Cheese was adopted by none other than John Travolta’s son, who was moved by Curtis' words. However, celebrities are not the only ones doing their part for this cause. Since January 17, 2022, the date that would’ve been White’s 100th birthday, people have been partaking in the #BettyWhiteChallengeand donating five dollars to their local animal shelters. The actions of Jamie Lee Curtis, the Travoltas, and people across the globe honor the legacy of White and help shine a light on the importance of pet adoption.
