Fans across the internet have been posting various pieces of fan art, praising how the game holds up four years later, and feeling nostalgic for the original God of War game which was released 17 years ago. Video game director, designer, and writer, Cory Barlog, has been with Sony Santa Monica since the original God of War and was the lead director for the 2018 game. Barlog has now stepped into a producer role for God of War Ragnarok.

Barlog states, “It is your support that allows us to keep doing the things we love to do,” and then segues into “the elephant in the room,” God of War Ragnarok. At the present time, Sony Santa Monica doesn’t have anything too significant to share, but Barlog reassures fans that the team is hard at work making something special.
