God of War Ragnarok Release Date Still Expected For This Year
God of War Ragnarok is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2022. It was initially revealed at the end of a PlayStation Showcase event in September 2020, and developer Santa Monica Studio released an exciting trailer the following year. Since then, Sony hasn’t released much about Kratos’ next Norse adventure.
The original teaser for God of War Ragnarok consisted of a logo and the year 2021. Many users probably expected it to get pushed to 2022 due to how little information was revealed. Sony officially delayed God of War Ragnarok to 2022 in June of last year, and a developer at Santa Monica Studio reiterates that the game will release this year.

He answers a question asked by a fan on Twitter, who appears to be looking for some assurance regarding the game’s release date. The fan seems to have complete confidence in the development team and mentions that they don’t want to see any footage.
2018’s God of War, the first game in the franchise to be set in Norse mythology, was released on April 20. Cory Barlog, the director of the 2018 game, gave an update on the status of God of War Ragnarok on its 4-year anniversary. In the video, he mentions that the team does not have anything significant to share, and everyone at Santa Monica Studio is working hard to finish the game. He states that players will see footage from God of War Ragnarok as soon as the team feels it has something to share.
