This article contains spoilers for Moon Knight episode 1.
It's possible Moon Knight's Ennead are tied to cosmic beings called the Elder Gods — and if so, the connection would completely transform Scarlet Witch's MCU story ahead of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Moon Knight is unlike any other MCU TV show to date. It's not just that the show has taken a very different narrative approach; it's also that it lacks any obvious ties to the mainstream Marvel Cinematic Universe, meaning it stands on its own two feet rather than depending on synergy for its success.
That does not, of course, mean synergies don't exist. The final episode of Moon Knight will air on May 4, just days ahead of the theatrical release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The last time an episode of an MCU Disney+ TV show came out in the same week as a Marvel Studios blockbuster, there was a definite thematic connection between them; Hawkeye brought back Vincent D'Onofrio as the Kingpin just days before viewers got to see Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock return on the big screen in Spider-Man: No Way Home. That's naturally leading to speculation there'll be some sort of link between Moon Knight and Doctor Strange 2, not least because both deal with the supernatural.

Moon Knight's storytelling is much more subtle than Hawkeye's, which signposted its Kingpin reveal from the start, and Doctor Strange 2's marketing deliberately conceals as much as it reveals. Given that's the case, it's much more difficult to identify the potential links. But one theory could potentially transform Scarlet Witch's MCU story ahead of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
