Remnant 2 has been a trending game since its release on July 25. Recently, Game director David Adams hosted an AMA on the Remnant subreddit. It was a generally positive AMA, with many fans expressing their love for Gunfire Games’ latest title. Adams discussed the future of Remnant 2, revealing that the studio has plans for DLC and updates to the game’s quality of life.
In the AMA, Adams spoke about both the past and future of Remnant 2. Giving a bit of insight into the development process of the game, Adams revealed that a team of roughly 90 people worked on it. Emphasis was placed greatly on the design process, with only about 8 people working as programmers. As for the game’s future, Adams claimed that developers have general plans to “tighten up the current game and try to build on it over time” as well as a “lot of plans and schemes for the franchise.” Fortunately, he did go into detail regarding what you can expect.
Adams mentioned Remnant 2 DLC a few times in the AMA. He revealed that work on the first DLC started immediately after the main game was completed, and he promised that developers aren’t planning to “phone it in.” There are currently three DLCs planned, and like the main game, they’ll have plenty of puzzles and secrets. At least in Adams’ opinion, the first DLC is “already looking pretty cool.”
It was confirmed that DLC will bring more armor, allowing players to be a bit more fashionable when they’re out exploring.
