A new intro cutscene for Grand Theft Auto Online highlights some of the graphical improvements that players will see while playing the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions. The Enhanced Edition of Grand Theft Auto V launches today, March 15, for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, featuring several new bells and whistles in terms of graphical and performance enhancements.
Notably, the boosts to the nearly 10-year-old adventure include ray-tracing, HDR options, improved draw distances, up to 4K visuals, and performance capabilities of up to 60 frames per second. Players who jump into the upgraded version of Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online can also expect to experience much faster loading times, 3D audio, and platform-specific additions such as haptic feedback on the PlayStation 5's DualSense controller. Rockstar Games also developed new content for the online suite, which comes in the form of Hao's Special Works auto shop, an in-game storefront that allows users to unlock elite driving performance upgrades for multiple vehicles.

Recently, Rockstar Games (via IGN) unleashed footage of Grand Theft Auto Online's all-new intro sequence in 4K. The minute-long cutscene showcases improved graphics for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, allowing viewers to get a glimpse at how environments, characters, and vehicles have been visually enhanced. Compared to the original intro sequence from 2013, the graphics certainly look crisper and more defined. Players can judge for themselves whether or not the content of the new cutscene holds a candle to its predecessor, however.
