GTA Online players who chose the Gunrunner path will be pleased to hear about this week's Gunrunner Spotlight, which will be serving up various perks and bonuses for certain players. This limited-time offer is just one of many special perks offered to GTA Online players with careers, with Rockstar making it a point to focus heavily on this part of the MMO experience.
Despite all of Rockstar's recent controversies, specifically those pertaining to the state of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, GTA Online has remained incredibly popular among both hardcore and casual audiences alike. While the online mode of the best-selling GTA V contains typical game modes like deathmatches and races, it seems like the features keeping players coming back are those surrounding the career-building and light RPG options. Players can build criminal enterprises from the ground up on their own or with friends, and these paths offer numerous opportunities to spend and earn heaps of in-game currency, which keeps the gameplay loop going. These modes are bolstered and enhanced through regular updates, including the recently-released GTA+ subscription model that allows players to get additional resources for a monthly fee.

Not all perks come with a price tag, though, and a recent post on the Rockstar Games blog details an example of some such perks. This week will deliver the Gunrunner Spotlight, which will let players with their own weapons dealing business save 50% on the supplies required to secure, deliver, and profit from these illegal arms. On top of this, Bunker Research times will be boosted by 200%, meaning that Gunrunners will be able to unlock new weapons and vehicle mods twice
