The Bluefeather Barding is a Chocobo Armor Set in Final Fantasy XIV featuring a majestic combination of knightly silver and bluish, indigo feathers. Introduced in Patch 6.1, this Barding is embellished with round opal-like jewels that dot the sleek, sharp frame of the armor. The saddle is a royal black cushion connected to fang-shaped horns at the front chest plating of the Chocobo Companion in FFXIV. Overall, the Bluefeather Barding's design is undoubtedly attractive but will best befit Chocobos with plumage of a similar shade or hue, such as purple, blue, or black.
The new Bluefeather Barding in Final Fantasy XIV is a craftable item, meaning that specific resources and job level requirements are needed to create the outfit. First, the player making the Barding must be a Level 90 Master Armorer capable of Craftsmanship of at least 2,924. Next, they will need to procure several materials, with the primary ingredient being a Blue Feather.

Blue Feathers can be acquired by participating in the new Extreme Trial, The Minstrel's Ballad: Endsinger's Aria. This Trial is an enhanced version of The Final Day, the final boss battle against the Endsinger in the Endwalker expansion. Naturally, those looking to unlock this Duty will need to complete the entire Endwalker MSQ and then complete the blue quest, "I Wandered Sharlayan as a Minstrel." This mission is given by the Wandering Minstrel at the Scholar's Harbor in Old Sharlayan at the coordinates X:12.7, Y:14.3.
Once Crafters of Light have acquired Blue Feather ×1, they must procure the three more materials, including the Clusters needed to power the crafting process in FFXIV.
