In the adorable upcoming puzzle-platformer Time on Frog Island by Merge Games, players find themselves washed up on an island inhabited entirely by anthropomorphic frogs and will need to make trades with these residents to get the items they need. Time on Frog Island clearly appears to draw some inspiration from cozy games like Animal Crossing New Horizons and Cozy Grove, putting players in an island society of cute creatures, but it includes several elements of popular platforming games to challenge them as they attempt to make their trades.

Players will need to decipher these clues to determine where they ought to go next and what they will need to do. Typically, a resident will indicate the item they want and the frog from whom the player can retrieve it in a series of simple pictures. Additionally, some frogs may ask for more one-off favors from the player character, including the farmer who is looking for a way to keep the birds out of her crops. Though the puzzles appear simple at first glance, it can be challenging to find the appropriate items and reach new areas to facilitate trades in this top-down world.
