It's a known fact by now that Turn 10, the development studio working on the Gran Turismo competitor Forza Motorsport, has got a new mainline entry to the franchise in production. Aside from a concept-level announcement and a tentative in-engine trailer that got shown off in 2020, however, precious little is known about it.
The latest leaks about Forza Motorsport coming from Jez Corden himself do suggest that there's lots going on with the game in the background, even though both Turn 10 and Microsoft have been quiet on that front. In his recent podcast, Corden had a few tidbits of information to share about the upcoming version of Motorsport, and he claims things are looking up.

While players could apply for closed beta testing of Forza Motorsport 8 almost exactly a year ago, virtually nothing else was known about the testing period. According to Corden, though, the testing has been going on ever since, and a number of influencers have had the chance to spend some time with the game in the meantime. He went on to say that he believes the game is shaping up rather well, and that it could very well end up getting a 2023 release date.
The release date presumption, in particular, was shared in the context of the upcoming Xbox/Bethesda showcase that's supposed to be held in the summer. Since not much has been shared about Motorsport since its initial announcement, Corden expects that it's a safe bet that the game will be prominently featured for the purposes of the showcase, with gameplay presumably getting shown off at last.
