Upload season 2 resumes the sci-fi comedy's intricate storyline involving love, murder, and plenty of jokes. Nathan Brown (Robbie Amell), bewildered by the sudden arrival of his ex-girlfriend Ingrid (Allegra Edwards) in Lakeview and the disappearance of his «angel» Nora (Andy Allo), strives to learn who is to blame for his untimely death. The Prime Video series made by Greg Daniels, who also created and produced The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Space Force, takes Nora on a new path with an anti-technology activist group call «The Ludds» and further develops the story arcs of its many characters involved with the digital afterlife of Lakeview and its parent company Horizon.
Screen Rant interviewed Greg Daniels about Upload season 2's deeper exploration into it's complex, technologically-advanced society, as well as his inspiration to incorporate science-fiction in his work.

Screen Rant: It's been almost two years now since season 1 aired. What was it like getting everyone back together during filming, and now, right before season 2's premiere?
Greg Daniels: It is weird because when you work on the show, you do not experience the feeling of everyone leaving because I've been sitting in the editing room watching them and going over it for months and months after we wrapped. Then, when you talk to the actors they're like, «Oh my God, great to see you! I haven't seen you in so long!» I'm like, «I saw you last weekend when I was in the editing room.» It takes a long time because there's so much visual effects and we have a very high standard. We're trying to be cinematic and it has to be prepared for release all over the world 'cause it's on Prime
