Warning! Spoilers ahead for Green Lantern #11
The latest issue of DC Comics' Green Lantern features a pretty clear reference to Games of Thrones, creating its own «Mother of Dragons» in the same vein as Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen. In this new ongoing series, the Green Lantern Corps has been all but decimated thanks to a rogue Guardian named Koyos who's attempting to restore magic to the universe. Additionally, sorcerers from the planet Zerox are in league with Koyos, including a leading sorceress named Yridian who unleashes a mighty dragon during the battle between willpower and magic itself.
In previous issues of Green Lantern, the Corps' homeworld of Oa hosted the United Planet conclave, the larger galactic equivalent to the United Nations on Earth. However, an alleged assassination of a Guardian thanks to the sorcerers of Zerox interrupted the meeting of worlds, which later led to the destruction of Oa's Central Power Battery. This caused nearly every Green Lantern's ring to go dark without the ability to recharge. Now, those still able to fight are facing the Guardian Koyos who faked the entire assassination attempt, being magically corrupted in his desire to undo the formation of the Green Lantern Corps, which apparently limits magic's power in the universe.

Now, Green Lantern #11 from Geoffrey Thorne, Marco Santucci, and Tom Raney sees Yridian being freed from Oa's sciencells to help Koyos fully destroy the already diminished Green Lantern Corps. Not only does she engage in battle with Hal Jordan and Jo Mullein directly, Yridian wields enough power to summon a space dragon with the word "Drakonys." As such, it's not hard to see
