Prolific actor Frank Grillo has been set to star in a new original thriller titled Dirty, from the Academy Award-winning writer of Green Book, Nick Vallelonga. Most recently, Grillo appeared alongside Ryan Reynolds in the Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, and is currently filming Justin Price's Hard Matter with Fast and Furious franchise actor Tyrese Gibson. This is Vallelonga's first feature film as a writer since winning Best Original Screenplay and Best Motion Picture for Green Book at the 2019 Academy Awards.
According to Deadline, Vallelonga will also be directing Dirty, with Wonderfilm’s Jeff Bowler and Bret Saxon set as the producers on the film. Mike Hatton, who also acted in Green Book and is next appearing in The Greatest Beer Run Ever with Zac Efron, is producing for Ton of Hats. Vallelonga is also producing, with Stien Davis and Chris Neville executive producing for Wonderfilm as well.

Saxon and Bowler were quoted as saying that: “We’ve been lucky to work with him (Grillo) on two pictures recently (Hard Matter and Lamborghini) and are amazed at his talent and total commitment to his roles. Nick (Vallelonga) has written a gripping script and we’re looking forward to seeing Frank bring the character to life”. Dirty is in pre-production in Atlantic City, NJ, with principal photography beginning on April 11. Grillo, who is known for his popular turn as Crossbones in Marvel Studio's Captain America franchise, has a busy film schedule ahead. The actor is also set to film the werewolf action thriller Year 2 in Puerto Rico this May, and most recently wrapped on the Scott Windhauser action film M.I.A.
