Warning! Spoilers ahead DC vs Vampires #5
In the latest issue of DC vs Vampires, Batman may have the perfect excuse to kill Hal Jordan's Green Lantern. While it's no secret that the two heroes have had an antagonistic dynamic, to say that Hal Jordan's new existence as a vampire has put a greater strain than normal on their relationship would be an understatement. As such, it appears as though Batman has no problem using lethal force to end the vampiric Lantern now that's he's been corrupted as a member of the living dead.
In previous issues of DC vs Vampires from James Tynion IV, Matthew Rosenberg, Otto Schmidt, and Simone Di Meo, several well-known DC characters have either been killed or bitten, joining the vampire revolution that's begun following the murder of Mary Queen of Blood, the only vampire elder who had been keeping the peace between vampire-kind and humanity. While the revolution began by targeting supervillains such as Gorilla Grodd, Scarecrow, Riddler, and more, the vampires have since turned their attentions to the superhero community, having already started to corrupt the Justice League in the series' first issue with Hal Jordan. Since then, the vampiric Green Lantern has killed The Flash and bitten Wonder Woman who's now joined him in his mission to turn the others.
