Yae Miko has been one of the fan-favorite Genshin Impact characters since her first appearances in the game's story quests. Developer MiHoYo finally decided to add her to the playable roster in the previous update 2.5.
The new Genshin Impact update 2.6 has made a couple of changes to Yae Miko's elemental skill. While this change was aimed at improving her performance on the battlefield, it actually had the exact opposite result. This change has made the developer revert this fix which will go live on April 6.

The change to Yae Miko's Elemental Skill has made her Sesshou Sakura totems prioritize the nearest enemy rather than having a random target selection. This main of goal of this change was to make her DPS output more consistent and remove that RNG component from her kit. However, there has been a major backlash in the community as this change made her totems almost useless in specific circumstances. Luckily, developer MiHoYo has heard the complaints and decided to revert these changes back to her original state.
The main reason why this change was seen as bad in the first place is the fact that it denies one of Miko's main strengths which is applying Electro damage to multiple targets. This was accomplished rather easy when her totems had random target selection. A big portion of the community has been asking for a Primogem refund considering that these changes made some of Yae Miko's constellations almost useless.
The decision to rollback on these changes so quickly was showered with praise by the fans who feel that their opinions matter which is very important in a gacha based game. Players will also receive a 100 Primogems
