Following the release of a new Gotham Knights gameplay demo, many fans have begun mocking the design of brutal anti-hero Jason Todd. The violent vigilante once served as Batman's sidekick Robin, but his death at the hands of the Joker led to a mystical resurrection and a transformation into the ruthless Red Hood. Gotham Knights Nightwing and Red Hood gameplay recently showed off the two heroes' contrasting combat styles, but it also revealed what lies beneath each character's mask.
In the brand-new Gotham Knights gameplay trailer, WB Games Montreal shows off many of the upcoming title's most exciting features. Following the supposed death of Batman, the game follows Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin as they rise to become Gotham's premier defenders. The gameplay trailer demonstrates how each character players differently in Gotham Knights, with Nightwing specializing in acrobatic melee combat while Red Hood fights from a distance with dual pistols. The Belfry serves as a home base where players can regroup or upgrade gear, with character customization in Gotham Knights letting players change the appearance and abilities of each hero.

Exploring the Belfry in Gotham Knights shows each character outside of their superhero uniform, and many fans have taken to Twitter to mock the design of Jason Todd. The resurrected Red Hood is seen without his mask in a cutscene conversation with Dick Grayson, and Twitter user croc claims that Jason has retaken the «Ugliest Man in the DC Universe» title from Green Arrow's sidekick Roy Harper. Fellow Twitter user Jaxon agrees, comparing Jason's Gotham Knights design unfavorably to the version of the character featured in Batman:
