An update for Gotham Knights has just been confirmed for tomorrow by a cryptic social media post. WB Montreal’s team-centric superhero title was revealed two years ago at the inaugural DC Fandome livestream, which showed off an exciting trailer featuring Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood, and the Tim Drake iteration of Robin as they band together to defend Gotham City in the wake of Batman’s apparent death. Gotham Knights will serve as a reboot for Rocksteady’s critically-acclaimed Batman: Arkham series, retaining that franchise’s stealth and combat gameplay in a brand-new continuity.
Last year’s DC Fandome event would see another Gotham Knights trailer, one that provided a closer look at the game’s primary antagonists — the sinister secret society known as The Court of Owls and their dreaded Talon enforcers. Official information regarding Gotham Knights slowed down somewhat after this, but it has been confirmed that the game will be released on October 25 despite previous claims that Gotham Knights would be delayed until next year alongside Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. There have been plenty of Gotham Knights rumors in the meantime, with leaks suggesting that it will launch exclusively for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S and that Gotham Knights will feature a four-player online co-op in contrast to past reports that it would only support two players at a time.
