A new Ghost of Tsushima update adds a brand-new armor set inspired by the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West and its protagonist Aloy. Both Playstation Studios titles take gamers to gorgeous and detailed open-world environments which play host to a wide range of content. Sucker Punch Productions previously included PlayStation outfits in Ghost of Tsushima, allowing protagonist Jin Sakai to don armor inspired by other gaming icons like Kratos and Aloy.
As a member of the PlayStation Studios family of developers, Sucker Punch includes a number of references and Easter eggs to other titles within Ghost of Tsushima. The beloved samurai simulator gives players the freedom to explore the titular Japanese island of Tsushima as they fight off a Mongol invasion, and exploring will reveal references to other titles like Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us, Shadow of the Colossus and more. For example, a table in Jin Sakai's home contains paper replicas of many iconic characters from these PlayStation titles. Shrines on Ghost of Tsushima's Iki Island, added as an expansion to the base game, also include explicit references to God of War, Bloodborne and more.

Adding to the title's repertoire of PlayStation references, Ghost of Tsushima (via Twitter) has announced a new armor set inspired by Guerrilla Games' upcoming Horizon Forbidden West. The outfit appears to be a replica of the high-tech armor worn by Aloy in the post-apocalyptic game, coming complete with her signature beads and headband. Sucker Punch explains that a February 8 update will repair a Wind Shrind to the north of Iki Island, which can be accessed through the expansion or in the game's Director's Cut.
