Gex the Gecko and Agent Xtra come to life in a 90s Saturday morning cartoon style, thanks to a dedicated fan. Gex was the star of a cult classic game trilogy from the late 90s about saving the world of television. His secret agent partner/love interest Agent Xtra, in complete contrast to the cartoony setting of Gex, was portrayed as a live-action character by Playboy model and Baywatch actress Marliece Andrada.
Gex is remembered for exploring levels based on television tropes and genres while constantly making goofy quips and pop culture references. While most of his quotes are pretty dated now, the various actors that portrayed him, such as comedian Dana Gould, made a lasting impression on players. Meanwhile, while displayed prominently in much of the games' advertising, the character Agent Xtra played a small role in the Gex games themselves. While she was a secret agent alongside Gex, she never got to do any of the action that would typically come with her job. Fortunately, this cartoon aimed to change that.

Starring alongside Agent Xtra, Gex has adventures through many TV genres in the style of a Toon Disney series. Fan and animator FlippinDingDong created this cartoon and was so convincing that for a moment, some fans believed it was an actual series they had missed out on. Every detail from the art style, sound quality, the Toon Disney logo in the corner, and even the credits sequence, feels exactly like watching a Disney cartoon from the 90s.
