The premium Jotnar edition of God of War Ragnarok went on sale in some regions earlier today, where it immediately sold out and appeared on Ebay for more than triple its RRP.
The edition, which comes with several collectable items related to the game, including a 16” Mjölnir replica, first went on sale in Australia for $399.99 AUSD but instantly sold out.
Now the item is currently listed for as much as $1500 AUD on auction sites in the region – more than triple its original RRP. In total, 24 listings for the item are live on eBay Australia, all but one of which are above $1000 AUD.
It’s a similar scene in the UK, where the collector’s pack is currently being listed for around £600 on auction sites – More than double its £220 retail price.
The Jotnar pack went on sale via retailer Game on Friday morning and sold out immediately, with no products available as soon as a minute after they went on sale.
There are a dozen listings for Jotnar currently live on eBay UK for around £600. A similar number of listings for the Collector’s Edition (RRP £180) are also being sold for over £300.
It’s currently unclear if Sony plans to restock the Jotnar edition, but a listing on the PlayStation Direct website currently lists it as “coming soon”, despite the fact that the preorder campaign was supposed to begin this morning.
In the US, pre-orders will open at 10 am ET today when a similar rush is expected.
Elsewhere, the Standard, Collector’s edition, and Jotnar edition of God of War Ragnarok will go on sale at 10 am local time around the world today.
