A new fan edit imagines what a live-action Lightyear movie with Brendan Fraser could have looked like if the film came out in the '90s. Fraser started his acting career in 1991 and quickly became one of the decade's biggest stars. Movies like The Mummy and George of the Jungle made Fraser a beloved household name, and he continued acting consistently up until 2008. After Toy Story 4 wasreleased in 2019, the franchise was thought to be over since Woody and Bo Peep had ventured off without Buzz and Bonnie's other toys. However, Lightyear was announced in 2020, marking Toy Story's first spinoff and the first film to feature Buzz without Tim Allen. Later in Lightyear's marketing campaign, Disney confirmed that Lightyear was indeed the film Andy saw in 1995 that made him want a Buzz Lightyear toy.
