Yelan is a highly flexible 5 Star Bow Character – she can fill any team position proficiently. However, she is primarily designed to act as a Sub-DPS. So when you’re using Yelan, she should be applying as much Hydro to the field as possible. Despite how fun her Elemental Skill is to use, Yelan’s Elemental Burst applies the most Hydro DMG. Prioritize leveling up her Elemental Burst first, then her Normal Attack, and finally, her Elemental Skill.
Yelan can perform up to 4 consecutive hits at a time. Like all Bow characters, her Charged Attack infuses her Aimed Shot with Hydro.
However, Yelan’s Normal Attack comes with the Breakthrough state. This activates after Yelan spends 5 seconds out of combat. Her next Charged Aimed Shot will have a 80% decreased charge time. The shot becomes a Breakthrough Barb, which deals AoE Hydro DMG based on Yelan’s Max HP.
Yelan’s Skill has two components: the dash and the stance. Tapping the Skill propels Yelan forward a certain distance. However, most players hold the Skill for the Hydro dash.
Holding the Skill will increase Yelan’s resistance to interruption and allow you to control her movement. It’s great for marking enemies, especially if they’re spread out. The Lifeline will pull opponents towards Yelan when it explodes, so Yelan can also perform crowd control for your team.
Additionally, each opponent marked by the Lifeline when it explodes grants Yelan a 34% chance to reset her
