Genshin Impact is getting version 4.1, «To the Stars Shining in the Depths», on September 27th. Expect a new zone opening up in the northern area of Fontaine, new playable characters, new Archon Quest, and more to discover in the deep sea. HoYoverse is also preparing to celebrate the global hit’s third anniversary.
Fontaine was formallyintroduced via its Court, but the rest of the nation is still to be discovered. The northern area will open up and begin to reveal its mysteries as you journey through the new zone. The announcement of the next expansion says that when this zone is opened it will reveal both the history and mystery of the nation “from different perspectives”. It’s an intriguing tease.
Two new playable characters come from high positions in Fontaine. Neuvillette, the Iudex of Fontaine and Wriothesley, the Administrator of the Fortress of Meropide (more on that in a moment) will both become playable as five-star Catalyst wielders. They both have the option of using some of their health in exchange for casting certain types of attacks and then recovering Health later if successful. first up will be Neuvillette, along with Hu Tao and in the second round, Wriothesley and Venti.
The Fortress of Meropide, of which Wriothesley is associated, is one of the new places you’ll discover, concealed in the deep sea. There's a new underwater area and ruins to explore, Along with new boss enemies in the depths. The first, «Millennial Pearl Seahorse» deals electric attacks and might distract you with its beauty.
