A new trailer for Genshin Impact Version 3.0 reveals several new characters awaiting players in the region of Sumeru. The long-awaited update will add an entirely new region to the world of Teyvat alongside a cast of new characters and the new Dendro element. Developer Hoyoverse has already confirmed Genshin Impact 3.0 playable characters Collei, Dori and Tighnari, but an even larger cast of Sumeru residents await players in the future.
While Genshin Impact regularly receives updates containing new characters and quests, Version 3.0 is expected to be a particularly substantial piece of new content. The update will bring players to Sumeru, a previously unseen region of Teyvat associated with the Dendro element and the deity Kusanali. Upon traveling to Sumeru players will also be able to acquire three new characters, two of which actually wield Dendro as their chosen element. The forest ranger trainee Collei and the forest watcher Tighnari will both use Dendro, while the Sumeru merchant Dori will use Electro in combat. Genshin Impact 3.0 beta leaks have shed some light on the upcoming update, and now Hoyoverse has officially revealed Sumeru and more of its inhabitants.
