A new Genshin Impact leak suggests that the popular Cryo user Kamisato Ayaka could receive a re-run in one of the upcoming updates. Re-runs allow players to pull for older characters and HoYoverse has introduced an interesting pattern of combining each character release with a re-run.
The ongoing Genshin Impact update 3.4 has introduced re-runs for two very strong characters, Hu Tao and Yelan. This banner cycle also features their signature weapons, Aqua Simulacra and Staff of Homa. Players who want to acquire these two characters or their weapons have approximately two weeks to do so as this banner cycle is scheduled to expire around February 28.

Her last appearance was back in update 2.6 which means that she will probably go a year without being featured on a limited banner. The main reason behind this is probably the fact that her last run was prolonged for three weeks as update 2.7 was delayed due to the complicated Covid-19 situation in Shanghai. Kamisato Ayaka is one of the best DPS characters in Genshin Impact with a strong focus on dealing massive amounts of elemental damage.
Many comments on the thread claim that they will save up their Primogems for the Cryo sword user. Some fans have pointed out that Ayaka's arrival means that her signature weapon, one of the best five-star swords named the Mistsplitter Reforged, will be featured on the Weapon Banner. The Mistsplitter is the go-to weapon for Ayaka as its passive provides significant buffs to the holder's elemental damage.
