The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire is 's newest boss and will be a crucial one in the near future for leveling characters. The 5.3 update was the first of 's 2025 plans, and a conclusion to the initial story of Natlan. A region that has been an unfortunate roller coaster for many reasons. The gameplay, region, and story were relatively good, but the characters have been a mixed bag, and paired with a lot of controversy about design at the beginning.
5.3 also added two of the strongest characters released in a while. These are the Pyro Archon Mavuika, and Cryo Shielder/Debuffer Citlali. Compared to other Natlan characters, Mavuika and Citlali are must-pulls for accounts that can afford it. In the former case, Archons are always strong characters with flexibility, and while Citlali is more niche, her debuff strength warrants her usage.
The entrance to the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire fight can be found on the edge of the map West of the stadium and to the south of the Night Wind city. This will bring players to the tribute monument from the end of the story, and interacting with the monument tablet will enter the menu to select a difficulty. This is a fitting spot for the fight given its lore implications, while also being comfortably situated between numerous helpful locations for players.
The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire fight isn't necessarily hard, but it can be unforgiving. The fight is broken into three main phases at certain health thresholds and all revolve around Void Wards. These Void Wards will be familiar if you've played through the story and are best depleted with Nightsoul abilities or Elemental damage. This makes any Natlan character a prime choice for the fight, and without them, the best options are consistent Elemental damage dealers.
Kachina and Pyro Traveler are the only free-to-play options with Nightsoul abilities.
