A new 5.3 leak has revealed when and where the Pyro Traveler will be officially unlocked for players to control, and not only is the setting familiar, but it seems redesigned with an ominous new element. The Pyro version of the Traveler is the first that could not automatically be unlocked upon reaching a new region. Previously, players only needed to interact with a Statue of the Seven in the region they were visiting and resonate with the element. This has not worked with the Pyro Traveler in since the release of Natlan in Version 5.0.
Trying to do so only prompts a message informing players that something is impeding the Traveler from obtaining new Pyro-related elemental powers, which had prompted speculation that the main character’s new kit would be woven into the main story quests.It was uncertain what and how the Traveler would awaken their Pyro abilities, but speculation was that it would arise near the end of the Natlan Archon Quests. Additionally, it was believed that Pyro would somehow be gifted to the Traveler by Mavuika in – and based on the new Version 5.3 leaks, that may all be correct.
The moment the Traveler unlocks their Pyro abilities has allegedly leaked in a new screenshot from Version 5.3. The image was shared in a post on Reddit. The leaked screenshot shows the Pyro Traveler talking to Mavuika near a staircase, which is encased by ice. If the leak is true, then the interaction between Mavuika and the Traveler may be vital in unlocking the Pyro abilities for the action RPG’s main character, even if it’s uncertain if she is the one who necessarily grants it. Previous rumors mentioned Mavuika will give the Traveler her Pyro Gnosis in 5.3.
